I finished a new screenplay this week. (Hollywood: the Last American
City. Sort of “the player” meets “hackers”.) Took me five weeks to
write, and it’s better than the first one, (Starving in The Company of Beautiful
Women, which took me two years). Talked this week to two sets of filmmakers, each
interested in one….not big money guys, but both great filmmakers who each made
good films, on film, for under 50 grand total (script, cameras, crew, film, actors,
transpo, misc, ALL).
I am thinking, since I can churn these things out (I was thinking before that I only had one great one in me) that I might go that way instead for a while…..not much money up front, but more immediate, more real, and money, if any, on the tail end.).
