Very cool, very creepy and beautiful song i forgot about and just found.

I recorded it five years ago. Played and sang everything on it (except the phone
message of my dying friend Eddy Sky. He left it on my machine as he was dying from AIDS and told
me to come visit him soon. I did.)

Lyrics Michael W. Dean

(Except the line "Only the sun can mix the color of your eyes", taken from a love letter from Tish O.)

Lil 25:

Little blond boy
watched the Vietnam war
cross-legged on his mommy's floor
25 trips around the sun and it still feels like a sucker-punch.
I met you on a sunny day
Your smile cut through the clouds
Holding broken crayons for to cut a new swath in the crowd.

Only the sun can mix the color of your eye

No place feels like home right now
It's blood and saints and sinners
The race is won but I can't leave
'til I've beat all the winners.

I'm a two-bit bopper baby boy boppin' in the city streets,
screaming for my next mommie.
Looking up and clunching any skirt that slishes by
I stole grandma's leather bible
so I missed the revival
Stayed up all night, made love with God.
I cried when that church, that church burned down.

Only the sun can mix the color of your eyes.
Only the sun can mix the color of your eyes.
Only the sun can mix the color of your eyes.
Only the sun can mix the color of your eyes.

(Eddy Sky on phone machine): "This is Eddy Sky. I'm still doing fine and alive, for now. Give a call, before I die."

(deleted lyrics:

You're in my blood, I'm in your soul.
You're in my blood, I'm in your soul.
You're in my blood, I'm in your soul.
You're in my blood, I'm in your soul.)
