Why I live in Southern California.

(gloat gloat).

It is 71 degrees here today. Very very slight breeze, sunny, a few
clouds. I think it is the most idyllic weather, the most beautiful
day, I've ever had in my 42 years.

Temperatures today at places we used to live:

Houston (where DJ lived.)
48 degrees.

Charlottesville, VA (where I used to live.)
37 degrees.

Arlington, VA (where I used to live.)
35 degrees (with a wind chill factor of 25 degrees)

Westfield, New York (where I grew up.)
19 degrees (with a wind chill factor of 4 degrees!!!!! !!)
