Obama’s Feet Stink (new Freedom Feens rap song with Rich Black)

So instead of the usual Feens Tuesday episode, today on the Gumbo we have a special treat. The master recording, for free (!), of the new Feens hip-hop song with Rich Black, “Obama’s Feet Stink.” Rich Black provided his vocals, but is not in the video, because he lives in New Jersey and Hurricane Sandy hit there last night and cut off his power just as he was uploading his video. (He let us know via iPhone.) This collaboration is a dope track, has great rapping (and fun dancing!) from Neema, the best mix Neema’s ever done, and we are really proud of it. The song is about how there’s no difference between Obama and Romney, how voting is stupid, and how OBAMA’S FEET STINK!

PLEASE SHARE THE VIDEO, WE ARE TRYING TO GET THIS ONE TO GO VIRAL before the election! (We’re gonna need all the help we can get, with much of the Eastern Seaboard of the US without power.)

Dick Dale Drops Mad Science About How the Universe Works, Part 2 of 3

Michael W. Dean calls surf guitar king Dick Dale on the phone, asks him three questions and Dick Dale talks for two hours and 20 minutes.

This is part two of this three-part interview. Part three of will post here next week, because you’re going to need time to digest each part. Too much at once might overwhelm ya’. Seriously. IF YOU HAVEN’T LISTENED TO PART ONE, I RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE and check it out before listening to part two.

Dick Dale talks here about his birthplace and lineage, middle-eastern influences on surf guitar, the role of art in bringing world peace, why politicians get it wrong, the healing power of music, how music can unite people from all walks of life, music and sex, music IS sex, why Dick Dale could have drum solos in clubs where drum solos were forbidden, Hendrix’s “You’ll never hear surf music again….”, Dick Dale’s advice for musicians, the decline of the American legal system, why Dick Dale is anti-drug, medical marijuana and cancer, alternative treatments for cancer and other illnesses, surviving cancer, and the value of never missing a show.

As masterful and influential as Dick Dale is on guitar, guitar is a tiny bit of what this guy is all about. Guitar is only a delivery mechanism for the many many things Dick Dale does and is here on this planet to do.

Part three of the interview is HERE.

Envisioning LibPar Into Being With Cartoonist Scott Bieser

Neema Vedadi talks of the wonders of the future with graphic novelist Scott Bieser. They explore why frontiers make men free, places we can go for freedom, why Sci-Fi writers love space, Scott’s stint at a newspaper and why he left the mainstream media early. Of course there is also lots of great stuff about Quantum Vibe; Scott’s amazing web comic series.

Dick Dale Drops Mad Science About How the Universe Works, Part 1 of 3

Michael W. Dean calls surf guitar king Dick Dale on the phone, asks him three questions and Dick Dale talks for two hours and 20 minutes.

Michael says “This is amazing. I’m stunned. This is like no interview I’ve ever done. Actually it’s like no interview I’ve ever HEARD. This is the longest, and best, interview I’ve ever done. Hands down. I can’t really even say I ‘did’ this interview. Dick Dale did it all, I just recorded it, and witnessed it. In awe.”

As masterful and influential as Dick Dale is on guitar, guitar is a tiny bit of what this guy is all about. Guitar is only a delivery mechanism for the many many things Dick Dale does and is here on this planet to do.

Dick Dale talks about co-creating the first loud Fender amplifiers, big cats, why music is sex, Jimi Hendrix, surviving cancer, curing cancer, why Dick Dale doesn’t do drugs or drink, humility, Pulp Fiction, why Quentin Tarantino is one of the few good guys in show business, Dick’s favorite pizza restaurant, mental, physical and spiritual health; martial arts, guns, Zen, contacting the spirit world, and what he’s on earth for.

This is part one of this three-part interview. Parts two and three of will post here in the coming weeks, because you’re going to need time to digest each part. Too much at once might overwhelm ya’. Seriously. Part two of the interview is HERE.

The Freedom Feens on Decline to State podcast

Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi are guests on the Decline to State Podcast. Michael decides for evermore the direction in which he wants the Feens to head, and how it differs from other liberty media. Also, we hear a bunch of calls, filler, drunken rambling, and occasional on-point brilliant talking from various folks. And Neema and Michael take turns giving statist rants in the delightful “bizarro world” segment.

A good time is had by all.
